When you use resources I've made, such as glitter fills, brushes, emoticons, etc...is it too much to ask that you actually credit me? I don't think it is.
I've emailed someone twice about crediting me for the emoticons they've downloaded from my site and are using on their site, yet they still haven't bothered to add my link. I'm about to lose my patience with them and go over their head and to their host.
I must have emailed about ten different site owners in the past week regarding their use of my fills in their graphics and with no link back to my site.
It's not like I ask for you to link me back on every page of your site; I'm happy with "Thanks Lirae for the glitter fills." on your credits page (with "Lirae" linking to my site, of course). Although if you wanted to add my link to every single page... ![]()
I revise my content every few months. If I notice that something on my site is attracting a lot of thieves, I take the content down. A year ago, my site was about four times the size it is now because I keep deleting loads of my stuff.
The latest resources to go "bye bye" are my glitter fills. If people cannot be bothered to credit me for my fills (which I've spent a lot of time making), I cannot be bothered to offer them.
In about a year, I'll probably only have the blog and a couple of pages left.
You should have been brought up to know better than to steal offline, so why do people do it online?
No credit = stealing. No "if"s, "and"s, "but"s or "maybe"s.
(You might also notice that the Tutorials and Written Content in the "Fun Stuff" section have been taken down...they'll be back up soon; I'm just going over them, editing where necessary, etc.)
